Disneybound is a blog run by Leslie, a fantastically visioned individual, who posts inspirational (to say the least) outfit ideas that are inspired from Disney characters. Due to a follower who challenged herself last year to Disneybound (v. the action of dressing up in a way that is inspired from something related to Disney) every day in March, this challenge was started and I’m taking it on! (:
I understand that Fix-It Felix environment isn’t exactly very boho and romantic, but there’s actually a very funny story behind this shoot. While exploring around downtown, Thomas and I stumbled into a beautiful church where an event was in the process of setting up. We weren’t exactly sure what was going on because we just heard music coming from the church’s attached garden on the side, so we wandered in. Upon wandering in, we realized it was like a convention for wedding venues: photographers, planners, decorators, the works!
There were so many beautiful booths set up of decorations, so Thomas and I used some of the sets as props and backgrounds. After about 30-40 shots, we were approached by a nice lady with a clipboard asking if she could help us in some way. We told us that we didn’t need assistance, but she looked at us rather concerned and asked who we were and we replied that we had just wandered in. Suddenly, it clicked in my head when I asked her, “Oh! Is this a private event?” >w<” The little convention was actually setting up and the doors were open. We had a sneak preview of things while people were setting up.
Needless to say, we were asked to leave, but it was clearly already too late after about 30-40 shots. What an amusing moment to explain to other people. XD Apologies to the people who were in charge of the event! XD We really didn’t know!
Thanks for reading! (: Smile today! (:
